Year-end holiday season 2022

Delivery by Christmas, 25 December 2022: Shop early to avoid delays. While there is no guarantee for delivery by or on a particular day, the below guidance has been provided by the carriers for delivery by Christmas.

26 December 2022 - Holiday closure 

Our fulfilment centres in Germany will be closed on 26 December for the long holiday weekend. Orders placed on 23 - 26 December will be processed for shipping from 27 December onwards.

10 November 2022 - Shipping disruptions in Belgium 

Due to a strike in Belgium on 9 November and a public holiday on 11 November, packages headed for Belgium may be delayed.

November and December 2022 - Possible Royal Mail strike action

Strike action carried out by Royal Mail workers on the dates as published on their website will disrupt postal services in the UK. Orders being shipped during the strikes will be subject to delays.  

31 October 2022 - Holiday closure 

Our fulfilment centre will be closed on 31 October and 1 November due to public holiday. Orders placed on 28 October - 01 November will be processed for shipping from 2 November onwards on a first-in-first-out basis.

1 August 2022 - New shipping rate to the UK

With effect from 1 August 2022, the shipping fee for orders to the UK is €14.00. The increase in the rate is due to the rising cost of cross-border shipping. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

      

Order fulfilment time frames

Orders are normally ready for dispatch within one working day of them being placed, with the majority of them processed before noon (CET), Monday - Friday, excluding holidays. In exceptional cases, due to high demand or other reasons, order processing may take slightly longer. Please rest assured that we will make every effort to complete and dispatch your order promptly.

Most orders that are received on Friday will be processed on the following Monday or the next working day.

Customs and Duties Charges

International orders MAY be subject to local charges.

Customs policies vary widely, with customs or import duties being charged once the order reaches its destination country. Because of this, VR Cover unfortunately cannot be held responsible for any additional charges. Please be aware of any additional fees your local customs office may charge before placing your order as we cannot mark your orders as a gift to bypass customs.

If additional fees apply for your package, they are usually collected by your local postal service provider, so check their tracking page or contact them directly for advice on payment. Beware of phishing scams that claim to be the postal service asking for payment.

 

Tracking and Delivery 

We will send you emails to confirm your order and notify you when your order has shipped. 

Order Confirmation Email After you have placed your order, we will send you an email confirming the purchase.
Shipping Notification with Tracking Information

When the package has been dispatched to the carrier, you will receive an automated notification containing the tracking number and link. This notification is normally emailed within 2 working days of the order being placed.

Different carriers are used for the first and last mile delivery. The initial shipping information for your tracking number is shown on the websites of the carriers such as Deutsche PostDHL, DPDGLS and Hermes.

 

Deutsche Post DHL updates: What they mean

On the tracking number: These item numbers do not correspond to any of DHL Parcel’s valid item search formats.

Or

The posting of the item was announced to Deutsche Post by the customer on (DD.MM.YYYY).
While the carrier has collected the package, the information has not been uploaded onto their tracking page. It can take an additional 2 - 3 working days for an update to be displayed.

The shipment was sent from the country of dispatch.

Or

The item was handed over to the International Logistics Center on (DD.MM.YYYY) to be forwarded to the country of destination. Further information is also provided by the website of the country of destination. 
The package has departed for the destination country. The local postal tracking link may be given in the tracking history on the page.
Delivery was not possible. The recipient will get a notification with information on where the shipment item will be available for collection. The package will be left at the nearest post office branch or service point for collection. If there is no notification in the mailbox, contact your post office with the tracking number for more information.
The shipment item has been delivered to a service point. Your package is ready for collection. You can look up the address of the service point on the local postal service website using the tracking number or contact their customer service.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

What is my tracking number?
The tracking information is included in the automated shipping notification. Be sure to check your spam folder in case it has ended up there.

Where can I check the tracking?
The shipping notification email has a clickable link that will take you to the tracking page on sites such as Deutsche PostDHLDPDGLS and Hermes.

As your local postal service provider is the last mile carrier, you can also look up delivery updates on their website with the same tracking number.

Why am I not seeing tracking updates?
Packages are picked up daily by the carrier but they are not scanned upon collection. There will be several days between updates as the packages wait in queue at each checkpoint.

The carrier can open an investigation if the tracking does not update for 14 consecutive days, so please reach out to us when 14 days have passed with no new information about the shipping status and we will help submit a formal enquiry to them. See our Non-Delivery policy on when a reshipment is possible.
